My fascination with our world started from a young age when I found myself memorizing the map of the world. Since my early years, I have lived through eight years of Iran-Iraq war, travelled to 25 countries and learned the location and names of most world capitals. I know from living in two very different cultures that the differences between people result from unshared perspectives. I hope to help reduce the gaps between people that especially these days, feel so insurmountable.
Rana Farhan, the New York based Iranian singer, along with her band, had a performance at Yoshi’s San Francisco, on October 2, 2011, that was quite well-received.
